Headstarting eastern tiger salamanders

Last week, we released 16 eastern tiger salamander larvae from our headstart program with NJ Division of Fish and Wildlife and the Cape May County Zoo. These larvae were released into newly constructed pools as part of our climate change adaptation project to create new vernal pool habitat in Cape May above anticipated sea-level rise.
