Don't blame the birds for that nighttime racket of chirping and whistling.
What's filling the air are the calls of an assortment of toads and frogs -- male toads and frogs to be exact. Most are wildly bleating, bellowing and chirping to attract a female of their species.
A few are just sounding off because it's springtime. it's a real guy thing.
