of Wildlife
By Joining the Corporations for
Conservation of Wildlife, your company can help the
Conserve Wildlife Foundation of NJ and NJ's Endangered and
Nongame Species Program stem the tide of species loss.
One of New jersey's greatest assets is the richness and
diversity of its wildlife resources. From the majestic bald
eagles and peregrine falcons that fly and nest along the
Delaware Bay, to the piping plovers that we enjoy watching
on our Atlantic beaches -- New Jersey is home to some of
the most diverse populations of wildlife in the country.
There are over 70 endangered and threatened species here
that need our help to protect them from extinction.
As the most densely populated state in America, we are
losing habitat for rare wildlife at an alarming rate. The
lower Cape May peninsula has experienced a 40% decline in
migratory bird habitat during the last two decades alone.
The bog turtle, an indicator species of clean water and a
healthy environment, has lost half of its habitat in the
last twenty years. We must act now to help ensure the
survival of our precious wildlife before it's too late.
Your tax-deductible grant will help our biologists:
Identify open space important to endangered species; Build
nest structures to aid in the recovery of bald eagles,
ospreys, ad peregrine falcons; Attach radio transmitters to
eagles, bobcats, shorebirds, and other animals to identify
important habitats; Study contaminants that threaten NJ's
wildlife and human populations; Create community outreach
programs that help citizens understand the value of rare
wildlife conservation and its positive effect on our
quality of life.; Work with local communities to develop
ecologically sound land use planning.
Your contributions to Corporations for Conservation of
Wildlife will: Position your company in a leadership role
among government leaders, opinion makers, employees,
customers, and the general public statewide; Reinforce and
enhance your company's environmental commitment through
this investment in New Jersey's natural heritage; Provide
business development and cross-promotional opportunity,
including a listing in the Conserve Wildlife newsletter,
with a distribution to over 40,000 households statewide.
