Peregrine falcons have joined bald eagles and ospreys among the state's best wildlife comeback stories in recent decades. After almost being wiped out nationwide by the pesticide DDT, the birds have experienced a slow resurgence in the U.S. and New Jersey.

Join CWF biologist Ben Wurst at the Cape May Library to learn about the Peregrine Falcon,the largest falcon in New Jersey and the world’s fastest animal, capable of flying at speeds over 200 miles an hour.

Often stereotyped as sinister and dangerous, bats are among the most beneficial animals for humans - providing free pest control and indirectly helping our health, agriculture, and water quality. Join Conserve Wildlife Foundation biologist Ethan Gilardi for a lively talk exploring common myths and misconceptions about bats, spotlighting current threats to New Jersey.

Part of the Tulpehaking Nature Center's Winter Lecture Series, this program is free, but registration is required.
