Ever wanted to take the family camping, but have no idea where to start? If so, then this is the program for you! During the day, families are invited to join us for a tour of one of the only campgrounds located along the Delaware River in New Jersey and to an “Open House” campsite where the you can see how a campsite should be set up and the types of equipment that are needed. At 4:00 p.m., a local bat rehabilitator will present a program on this misunderstood nocturnal creature (and yes, she will be bringing live bats!). Later that evening, people who are registered to camp that weekend are invited to join the park’s naturalist for a nighttime insect safari and s’mores around a campfire.
