CWF Wildlife Biologist, Meghan Kolk will discuss the drastic decline of grassland habitat in New Jersey and the importance of preserving and restoring this habitat for grassland-dependent birds. She will go into greater detail about the State-endangered upland sandpiper that has the most specific requirements and is the most imperiled of all the NJ grassland birds. Meghan will end the discussion with a description of the projects that Conserve Wildlife Foundation is implementing to restore breeding grounds for the upland sandpiper.
