The New Jersey Wild Outdoor Expo is a free event designed for visitors to discover ways to appreciate and enjoy the outdoors. The Expo seeks to help people connect with the natural world by providing a unique blend of conservation information, education and hands-on opportunities to learn outdoor skills and activities. Visitors can learn about and try a wide array of activities including fishing, hiking, shooting sports, kayaking, rock climbing, camping, wildlife watching and much more.

Meet inside Island Beach State Park, at the Old Nature Center (small grey building), 1 mile from the park entrance on the left.

Explore and bird this beautiful undeveloped section of the barrier island. Meet inside Island Beach State Park at 7 am at the old nature center (small grey building) 1 mile on the left from the park entrance for a roughly 3 mile walk.
Make sure you bring:
- Plenty of water
- Sunblock
- A hat with a brim
- Binoculars if you have them (but spare binos are available)
