Eastern Tiger Salamander

Jay Inslee once said, “What is a fish without a river? What is a bird without a tree to nest in? What is an Endangered Species Act without any enforcement mechanism to insure that their habitat is protected? The answer is nothing.”

Hello, I am Edward the Eastern Tiger Salamander, and I am an endangered species that has many cool facts, needs protection and people can help me in many ways.

Eastern Tiger Salamanders have so many cool facts about them. One of them is that they are one of the largest land dwelling salamanders on earth. They also have a black base and radiant olive colored splotches. Also, they eat frogs, insects, worms, and even other salamanders! Eastern Tiger Salamanders are very cool so you should help them before it is too late.

Eastern Tiger Salamanders need protection from many things. They are endangered because of lots of pollution. Also, people are taking away their habitat by expanding civilization.

Another reason that they are in danger is because people are hitting them by cars. Not only do salamanders need protection but every animal out there does too, so be kind to nature!

People can help Eastern Tiger Salamanders in many ways. They can be more thoughtful of the environment when people think of polluting the earth.

They can also donate to a program to introduce salamanders to an unoccupied habitat.

Another way is to give money for the creation of the salamander tunnels that are being built under roads. Please help Eastern Tiger Salamanders because without your help, they are sure to die out.

An Endangered Species Act can be something with your help. Just remember this essay when you want to make a difference. All you need to do is think of why people should help Eastern Tiger Salamanders, why they need protection, and ways to help them.

Now I must go, feeding time is upon us. If I were you, I would hide. I get a little crazy when I get hungry.
