FISHING FOR A CLEANER BARNEGAT BAY
Derelict fishing gear continues to plague the depths of Barnegat Bay. Often lost in storms or due to boat traffic, lost or abandoned crab pots (ghost pots) become an unintentional deathtrap for a variety of marine species and reduce otherwise harvestable resources.
AMPHIBIAN CROSSING PROJECT 2013
Since 2002, Conserve Wildlife Foundation has been working to protect early-spring breeding amphibians like the Wood Frog, Spotted Salamander, Jefferson Salamander, and Spring Peeper during their annual migrations, which often lead them across perilous roadways.
